On the occasion of June 20, the Day of the Construction Workers, the Trade Union for Construction, Industry and Civil Engineering of the Republic of Macedonia - SGIP, congratulates this day to all construction workers in our country.
In 1936, a strike of the construction workers began who formed the first union. As their union SGIP has a great historical responsibility to continue protecting all construction workers.
Our fundamental goals are initiatives to improve the position of employees in the construction sector, higher wages and better working conditions.
SGIP demands from the state, as the largest investor in the country, to provide jobs for the construction companies.
The eventual collapse of the construction sector would have a domino effect on the entire Macedonian economy.
The President of the Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia also sent congratulations on the occasion of June 20th.
