We would like to inform you that, today, on November 11, 2017, in Ohrid, the Extraordinary Congress of CCM started its first plenary session, and upon the completion of the formal part, which was attended by guests from the country and abroad, the Extraordinary Congress approved the work of its bodies and commissions.
On this plenary session, upon proposal of the Acting President of CCM, M.Sc. Darko Dimovski, in order to preserve the unity of this organization, strengthen the democratic processes and build CCM as an independent, democratic and inclusive organization, called on the Extraordinary Congress, in the part of the election of the President of CCM, to postpone the plenary session, by which an opportunity to the other candidate for President of CCM to participate in the election of President of CCM will be given.
The Acting President Dimovski asked the second plenary session of the Extraordinary Congress in the part of election of the president of CCM to continue in 30 days at the latest, in the most democratic and transparent way to elect a president of CCM out of the proposed candidates who failed to meet the criteria for presidential candidate.
With this move, the Acting President of CCM, Darko Dimovski, demonstrated his virtue and honest approach to overcome the situation in CCM, despite the fact that at today's Extraordinary Congress as the only candidate could have been elected as a President of CCM with presence of 92 delegates from the total number of 113.
This denies all the untruths placed in the public in the past period with regard to the so-called undemocratic procedure for presidential election and confirms the commitment of CCM to organize fair and democratic elections.
