An online meeting was held today between the representatives of HoReCa Industry and the President of SUTKOZ, Darko Dimovski, which was also attended by the representatives of the ILO Office in Skopje.
The attendees of today's meeting discussed the situation in the catering and tourism sector as one of the most affected sectors of the coronavirus pandemic and the possibility of introducing vouchers to guarantee the status of workers in these sectors who are engaged in undeclared work during the season. By this, the informal economy would be prevented and these workers will receive a guaranteed salary and paid contributions from the obligatory social insurance for the period for which they will be engaged with the voucher system.
SUTKOZ as the only representative union in the country takes care of the protection and promotion of workers' rights even in conditions of COVID-19 pandemic.
