The leadership of the Macedonian Police Union in the period that has passed on several occasions by Minister Chulev, despite a series of requests, asked from the Minister that all employees of the Ministry of Interior as a special contribution in the fight against Covid 19, to receive a reward of at least one average salary. The Ministry did not accept our request.
Today, after the statement of the Minister of Finance, it was announced that the Ministry of Interior does not have the funds, ie no funds for payment of 15,000 denars for each employee and that the supplementary budget did not require funds for this purpose.
For us as the only representative union of the police, the amount of 15,000 denars is underestimating, which is why we ask the Minister to urgently find a way and funds to pay all employees in the Ministry of Interior a reward of at least 25,000 denars.
The Macedonian Police Union hopes for public support for our request because all citizens of the Republic of North Macedonia are aware of the sacrifice and commitment of members of the Ministry of Interior in order to preserve the health, property of citizens and public order and peace. during the pandemia.
We encourage all employees of the Ministry of Interior, the Intelligence Agency, the National Security Agency and the Financial Police Directorate to continue their dedicated and sacrificial performance of their official duties, and the MPS shall continue to fight for improvement of the labor rights of all police officers in the country and we shall continue to ask for a reward in amount of one average salary.
