On 2.3.2017 the Macedonian Occupational Safety and Health Association (MOSHA) within the project "Strengthening the partnership of civil society and state institutions in the creation and promotion of the right to safe and healthy working environment- Basic Human Right" organized a national Conference on "Functioning of the bipartite OHS dialogue in companies."
The purpose of the national conference is to raise awareness on the benefits of bipartite dialogue in the companies and the role and profile of the employee’s OHS representative as well as to discuss the views of all stakeholders on how the social partners, civil sector and government institutions through its activities shall enhance the bipartite OHS dialogue.
The participants discussed a number of topics in three working sessions. On the first working session titled "Social partners related to the future challenges on OHS bipartite dialogue implementation in Macedonian companies" their addresses had the President of CCM, PhD Zhivko Mitrevski, the President of OEM, Angel Dimitrov and the representative from MLSP, Lence Kocevska.
Within his speech, the President of CCM, PhD Zhivko Mitrevski pointed out several important aspects and activities implemented by CCM within the implementation of the amendments to the OHS Law, the need for regulation of this matter in the collective agreements, the need for subsidizing employers in the direction of encouragement of the process of Law enforcement, the need for education of the social partners to increase their capacity and raising the awareness in the society for the protection of this fundamental human right.
Speakers on the second and third sessions were: Milan Petkovski, MZZZPR Ana Shijakovik, European Society of OHS engineers, Cvetan Kovac, Croatian Post Zagreb, PhD Elizabeta Jasna Stikova, Institute of Public Health, Aljajdin Havziu, State Labor Inspectorate and representatives from relevant companies.
