The voice of the workers has been heard.

Another request of SSM adopted at yesterday's session of the Government.

The President of SSM, Darko Dimovski states that SSM welcomes the approach of the Government and the adopted conclusion, but at the same time asked for its clarification, that the salary compensation for absence from work due to infection with Covid 19, isolation and selfisolation due to exposure to Covid 19 to be 100% of the base determined by law and will be applied to all employees both in the public and private sector.

The Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Fatmir Bytyqi said that the decision applies to everyone. The burden as an obligation shall be born by the Insurance Fund. The same rules remain for the first 15 days, the obligation to be to the employer, and after that the obligation to be.taken by the Fund.

This request of SSM was presented to the Social Partners and it was stated that despite the health professionals,  many other workers from other industries and institutions cane be also infected and due to the principle of equality, equality and equal access all workers exposed to the virus should be treated as an occupational disease with the right to 100% pay.

Once again it is confirmed that through the Social Dialogue led by CCM and the Government, it is very easy to find acceptable solutions to the problems faced by workers.
