On 20.03.2019 in Skopje, the first meeting of the working group on environment was held, in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning and organized by the Friedrich Ebert Foundation, office Skopje.

The focus of this first working meeting was the implementation of the EU directives on air quality. The Deputy Minister of Environment, Jani Makraduli, also participated at the round table, addressing the correlation of the activities of the Clean Air Plan with the EU Directives.

The aim of the working group is to hold regular meetings between representatives of the institutions at central and local level, civil society organizations, trade unions, academic representatives and representatives of international organizations focusing on environmental issues in their work to enable a platform for good communication and cooperation between them, as well as for creating a plan for joint action.
The union representatives expressed their readiness to tackle the problem of air quality and preserving the environment, following the example of the campaign by the European and international trade union organizations: "No jobs on a dead planet".
