Facing a health crisis, which had and still has a great impact on the economy and job security, as well as in conditions when this year the minimum wage has increased by only 2.99%, the average wage from January to May 2020 is reduced by 4.18%, and the costs of the citizens have increased due to the crisis, the Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia and the unions affiliated in, do not agree the price of electricity to be increased, especially not because it will fall on the back of the workers, pensioners, unemployed, ie citizens.
The Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia is not an organization that regulates the prices of certain services or products, but believes that with the decision of the Regulatory Commission to increase electricity by 7.4%, the health crisis can very easily turn into an economic crisis.
If the hasty increase in the price of electricity is not withdrawn, it is necessary to increase all wages and pensions in the same amount as the increase of the electricity.
Our analyzes prepared on the basis of the Trade Union Minimum Basket shall be submitted to the Economic and Social Council.
