Meeting of SSM, STKC and the Management of Bargala Stip

Today a meeting between the Management of Bargala AD Stip, the Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia and representatives of the workers was held, in which the situation in the company was discussed as well as the reactions of the workers for the late salaries and non-payment of the salary difference.

The meeting was attended by the President of SSM, Darko Dimovski, the Secretary of the Council of SSM, Zlatko Cvetkovski, the President of STKC, Ljupco Radovski, Kristina Ampeva from Glasen Tekstilec and representatives from the Management of Bargala AD Stip, Naum Barzov, Borche Momchilov and Tanja Dragalska.

At the meeting, several possible solutions were identified to overcome the difficult situation of the workers:

- to continue with the regular payment of the wages to workers

- starting from the salary for the month of September to the month of March 2021, the difference of salary that the employer did not pay to the workers to be paid for 3 months at 30%, as well as the difference of the salary of 10% which was paid less for the month of February

- with the mediation of SSM, it was agreed that the health insurance contribution to be paid in advance, and thus the workers to continuously use health services in the coming months until the entire arrears to the workers are paid by the employers

For these proposals that are acceptable to both workers and employers, it was agreed another meeting to be held at which an agreement will be concluded between SSM and STKC on the one hand and the Management of Bargala AD Stip on the other hand.

SSM and STKC agreed with the Management of Bargala AD Stip, not to take any measures against the workers who protested in front of the Company, and to respect the provisions of the Labor Law and the Collective Agreement in future.
