The Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia, as the only representative trade union that represents the interests of 70.000 members of the public and private sector, seeks and calls on MPs from all political parties to be reasonable and aware that it is necessary to adopt the fifth package of economic measures, which, among other things, provides financial support for the payment of wages to workers in the most affected sectors for the months of February and March 2021, and which has been blocked for three months in the Parliament, given that we are now the month of April.
The workers, the members of SSM and the entire Macedonian public, are astonished by the attitude of the MPs in the Parliament towards the existential issues of the workers, whose survival in conditions of global health crisis depends on the state's care and the adoption of the fifth package of measures.
We point out to the huge number of appeals to the Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia, both from workers and for the first time from employers, who have asked for help and support from SSM, and who can no longer withstand the pressure and concerns for their existence and existence of their families.
We remind the MPs that the hand from the workers today, can easily become a clenched fist tomorrow!
