WORKERS PROTEST IN FRONT OF THE MINISTRY FOR AGRICULTURE, FORESTRY, AND WATER MANAGEMENT, FOR UNPAID SALARIES

Employees of JSC "Vodostopanstvo" yesterday protested in front of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, demanding the payment of three back wages as well as health insurance for two months.

The president of SSM, Darko Dimovski, and the president of AGRO Syndicate, Igor Kitanoski, gave unreserved support to the workers.

If the situation is not resolved immediately, the water supply valves to the crops will be stopped, and with that, the crops will be endangered because of the ignorant attitude of the  Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, and the Government towards these workers.

The management of the Union in AD "Vodostopanstvo" announced that they will go on strike if they do not receive an answer about the payment in the next two to three days.

The president of the trade union organization of AD "Vodostopanstvo", Kosta Malzarkov, stated that the workers are disappointed and without basic conditions for a decent life.

- We are protesting because we haven't received three salaries, we don't have health insurance for two months, the school year started yesterday, the children went to school, only our workers couldn't send the children with notebooks, pencils and backpacks, they couldn't give them money for meals, they haven't paid their bills for water and electricity, they have not paid installments for loans, executors call them every day, said Malzarkov.
