MEETING HELD WITH THE CHAIRMAN AND COORDINATORS OF THE ADVISORY GROUPS OF THE CITY OF SKOPJE COUNCIL

Due to the fact that the Mayor Danela Arsovska refuses to meet with the representatives of the workers from the SUTKOZ Union, and in connection with the developments in the JP Vodovod and Sewerage Skopje and now in the JP Communal Hygiene Skopje, the representatives with the SUTKOZ Union at the SSM from the Trade Union Organizations at the JP Vodovod and sewerage and JP Communal Hygiene Skopje held a meeting with the Chairman of the Council of the City of Skopje, Trajko Slavevski and the coordinators of the advisory groups in the Council of the City of Skopje, VMRO - DPMNE and the coalition Reconstruction of Macedonia, SDSM - coalition The best for my municipality, LDP, DUI, Left, Coalition movement determined for change, Coalition Alliance of Albanians and Alternative and Group of voters.

At the meeting, the coordinators of the advisory groups were informed about the situation in the public enterprises, that in JP Vodovod and Sewerage Skopje, a procedure for starting a strike is already being carried out, which will begin immediately after the expiry of the legal deadlines, and due to the non-compliance with the Law and the collective agreements in relation to the rights from the employment relationship of the workers by the acting director of JP Vodovod and Sewerage Skopje, Failure to act on tasks and decisions from competent inspection authorities by the acting director of JP Vodovod and Sewerage Skopje, Non-implementation of the Decisions of the Management Board from the acting director of JP Vodovod and Sewerage Skopje, Non-respect of employment rights by the acting director of JP Vodovod and Sewerage Skopje, Arbitrariness and arbitrariness of the acting director of JP Vodovod and Sewerage Skopje, which causes harassment among workers and creates fear, hostile and humiliating behavior towards them, Discriminatory behavior by of the acting director of JP Vodovod and Sewerage Skopje towards the workers and psychological harassment of the workers, the ultimate goal of which may be the termination of the employment relationship or leaving the workplace, inhumane treatment of the acting director who pays homage to the trade unionists and the workers in the enterprise JP Vodovod i Kanalizaza Skopje and sends messages with threatening content, non-payment of contributions from mandatory social insurance, contributions for health insurance, due to the fact that the employees of JP Vodovod i Kanalizaza fear for their livelihood and their jobs.

The trade unionists informed that a Request or notification has been submitted to MTSP for the occurrence of a dispute or strike in JP Vodovod and Sewerage Skopje, as well as a written warning to the Acting Director and the Management Board for the Decision to exercise the right to strike.

They informed them that the acting director Mitovski, although he tried to publicly manipulate that he did not, has against him the judgment I K no. 296/96 by which the acting director Marjanche Mitovski was convicted of attacking another person with a knife and Decision I K No. 296/96, which replaces the fine with a prison sentence, judgment VII K. No. 420/93, which found Marjanche Mitovski guilty of injuring another person with a beer bottle, thereby committing the crime of bodily harm, as well as for the Report from a specialist in which it was determined that Marjanche Mitovski has a diagnosis of F41.2 – Mixed anxiety and depressive disorder, and it is further stated that the person has a conflict situation at work, is tense, anxious, has bad thoughts, is in a bad mood...

They were also informed that 113 workers in JP Komunalna Higiena Skopje are not being extended their engagement in the enterprise without providing a justification for the reasons why more than 113 families have been left without a livelihood and without work since November 4, 2022, without any notice.

The trade union organization of SUTKOZ at JP Communal Hygiene - Skopje at SSM reacts because these employees promptly, conscientiously, and regularly performed their work tasks at the jobs for which they were hired, they came to work regularly, and with their non-engagement in the normal functioning is put in danger of the enterprise, especially because the majority of these workers performed tasks related to the enterprise's activity, which in the coming period will significantly contribute to the deterioration of the hygiene of the capital city of Skopje.

The SUTKOZ trade union at the SSM asked the councilors to ask mayor Arsovska to dismiss the acting Director of Water and Sewage, who is a potential danger to the employees of the enterprise and to the citizens of the city of Skopje. At the same time, in this energy and economic crisis, they should ask the Mayor, the Board of Directors, and the Director of JP Communal Hygiene Skopje to continue the engagement of these 113 people who are necessary to perform the basic activity of the company.
