THE STATUS OF ADMINISTRATIVE WORKERS IN HEALTH NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED

Yesterday, a working meeting was held in the Ministry of Information Society and Administration with Minister Admirim Ali, MA, which was attended by the president of the Independent Trade Union for Health, Pharmacy and Social Protection of the Republic of Moldova, Dr. Ljubisa Karanfilovski, with representatives of the trade union. Darko Dimovski, M.Sc., President of the SSM and the President of the Association of Lawyers Employed in Lume Healthcare with their representative.

At the meeting, the Union expressed the need to exempt administrative workers employed in the health sector from the text of the Law on Administrative Officers and that their status should be completely regulated in the lex specialis Law on Health Care as "administrative health workers", which will an opportunity was created for a different and correct regulation of the rights and obligations of the employment relationship of the administrative workers in the health activity.

The Minister heard the request of the Trade Union and the Association of Lawyers and informed that the intention of the Law on Administrative Officers is for administrative workers from all activities to be covered by that law, which would also include those administrative workers who were exempted from it in the past period, and with the sole aim of equality and greater efficiency of work in the public sector.

In the discussion, the Union emphasized that it remains on the request, but is always open to discussion and improvement of the text, which is in the interest of the employed administrative workers in the health sector.

The minister promised that they will always be open for cooperation and discussion, all submitted materials will be seriously considered and all proposals and remarks will be taken into account that will contribute to a better perspective in relation to the necessary amendments and additions to these two laws, the Law for employees in the public sector and the Law on administrative officers.

In general, the meeting left room for further cooperation and continuation of the dialogue in the interest of the employed administrative workers from the health sector.
