On the occasion of the Europe Day, 9 May, the President of the Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia, PhD Zhivko Mitrevski, sent a Letter with congratulations to the Ambassador of the EU Delegation in Macedonia, HE Samuel Zbogar.

On behalf of the Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia and on my behalf allow me to express our cordial congratulations on the occasion of the Europe Day - May 9.
Our wishes remain to nurture and deepen the mutual cooperation and to contribute towards building our country as a democratic and social state, to develop and practice the European social model and achieve social balance and social consensus, acceptable compromises between the economic and social imperatives through the instruments of the social dialogue.
For the Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia, the international labor standards as universal sources of the Macedonian labor legislation, will ensure promotion of workers' rights and improve their working and living conditions, which also is one of the fundamental benefits of the integration of the Republic Macedonia in the European family.
In this regard, once again we do express our support to the workers and the trade union movement, the European values and our aspirations for faster admission of the Republic Macedonia within the EU.
