ANNOUNCEMENT - MAY 1 PROTEST!

The workers' struggle is not just one protest, one strike, one blockade, it is a continuous struggle of workers and the real trade unions to preserve and advance workers' rights.

May 1st, International Workers' Day, is the day when protests and demonstrations are a duty to the workers' struggle in the past and an obligation to the workers' struggle in the future.

The Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia has been organizing a mass workers' protest every year on May 1st, International Workers' Day, and this year, for the 8th year in a row, on May 1st, starting at 11 am in front of SSM Workers' Home in Skopje, a PROTEST will begin under the motto "WE FIGHT FOR OUR WAGES, WE DON'T BEG FOR THEM"

This year, May 1st was also on January 28th and on March 14th when thousands of workers protested for an increase in the minimum wage and for an increase in all the other wages, and most probably the protests will continue after May 1st, because on May 4th, the first working day, the minimum wage will again be the lowest in the region, and Macedonian workers’ will have the lowest wages in the region!

We also call for solidarity from the workers for whom their trade unions have already fought to increase their wages.

Workers' solidarity must have no limits, today we fight for those with the lowest wages, tomorrow for all of us.

Therefore, on May 1st, let us be in solidarity, loud, united and determined!

Come out to protest, stand shoulder to shoulder with your colleagues and show that the workers' voice cannot be ignored.
