Beginning of the Campaign, My Labour, my Rights

Only the unions have full legitimacy to represent the workers, said the President of SSM, Darko Dimovski

Today the official promotion of the Campaign for raising awareness of workers' rights, My Labour, my Rights started. The Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia participates in the campaign, as a representative social partner in the Economic and Social Council, which is being implemented with the support of the Project: Strengthening Social Dialogue, funded by the European Union and implemented by the International Labor Organization.

The purpose of this Campaign is to inform employees, job seekers and employers about the rights and obligations arising from employment and it will be realized in the period from January-June 2021.

Addresses on the official press conference had Darko Dimovski, President of the Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia, Jagoda Shahpaska, Minister of Labour and Social Policy, Nicola Bertolini, Delegation of the European Union, Jovana Trencevska, Director of State Labour Inspectorate and Angel Dimitrov, President of the Organization of Employers of Macedonia.

The President of SSM, Darko Dimovski in his address emphasized that workers' rights, their realization, protection and promotion are a goal and program task of the Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia.

Only trade unions have the full legitimacy to represent workers, have knowledge and ability to fight for workers' rights and their dignity. As a representative union, we have always advocated workers to be fully informed, which is the goal of this campaign.

As SSM, we are actively involved in the campaign, because we believe that the availability of information is of particular importance for raising awareness of workers and citizens about their employment rights. The project and the Campaign funded by the EU, and implemented by the ILO, which for years have been supporters of activities to promote social dialogue in the country, is an indicator that we are on the right track to create and implement activities to ensure decent work for workers. For us as a representative trade union and national social partner in the country, labor dignity means above all ensuring productivity and economic development, but at the same time it means achieving fair income, decent jobs, social security and socially responsible involvement of workers and citizens in all activities.

The main tool of the campaign for employees, job seekers and employers is the website www.mojtrudmoiprava.mk. It contains all the information about employment rights and obligations, divided into categories: employment contract, salary, working hours, vacation, leave, health and safety at work, discrimination, mobbing, social security and dispute resolution.

The design of the website is supported by Promoting Social Dialogue
The Project is funded by the European Union, and implemented by the International Labour Organization.
