CALL FOR PROTEST, MAY 1, 11 AM, WORKERS' HOUSE

Dear sisters and brothers,

The labor movement in Macedonia is facing a serious challenge due to the attitude of policymakers, who in the last few years have been taking care exclusively of themselves and their interests, and not of workers, workers' rights and workers' interests.

We are witnesses that today, for policymakers, the most important thing is to preserve their enormously increased salaries, now by 79%, and on the other hand, some of the workers in the public sector did not receive the adjustment of their salaries to the increase in the average salary in accordance with the General Collective Agreement for the Public Sector, they did not accept the request of the SSM to increase the minimum wage by an additional 6,000 denars with an increase in other salaries by the same amount.

Today, workers in Macedonia are facing increasing pressure on their livelihoods due to the high cost of living and low salaries.

Today, all of us, all of you, have and have the opportunity and chance to show that those who lead the State should hear the voice of the workers, we have the opportunity to show the workers' dissatisfaction and together to go out to a large workers' protest on May 1, to which we will send our messages and the workers' demands.

On May 1, the protest will begin at 11 am in front of the Workers' House with a movement, Parliament - Chamber of Commerce - Government.

We expect everyone who supports the workers' struggle for decent wages and decent working conditions to join the protest.

SSM calls on everyone, to the workers, to go out together to a workers' protest on May 1 - International Workers' Day and together to demand an increase in the minimum wage to 500 euros, an increase in other wages by 100 euros, an increase in the wages of public sector employees by 12.6% in accordance with the General Collective Agreement for the Public Sector!
