The Trade Union for Industry, Energy and Mining of Macedonia (SIER), represented by President Igor Djerasov, accompanied by the President of the SSM Slobodan Trendafilov and the Presidents of the Trade Union Organizations of SIER in Borov Dol and Buchim Stanko Jovanov and Bojan Pocev, today signed a Collective Agreement with the Manager of the Borov Dol and Buchim Radoviš Mines, which advances the rights of workers in the mine. The dynamics for increasing the salaries of workers have also been determined, and in the coming period, additional criteria will be determined for additional salary increases based on work performance, regularity, safety and health at work, etc.
The workers, at the very beginning of the year, have had their basic salary for January increased, which the employer has already paid.
The social dialogue conducted by SIER with the mine management team ensured the signing of a Collective Agreement after many years, which made significant progress in mutual respect as social partners, as well as in the regulation of workers' rights.
The conclusion of the Collective Agreements between the Bucim and Borov Dol mines and the Trade Union of Industry, Energy and Mining of Macedonia (SIER) under the SSM, represents a historic moment, especially for the Bucim mine, where, 25 years after its restart in 2005, a collective agreement was concluded at the employer level for the first time. On the other hand, the Borov Dol mine, which started operating in 2021, managed to sign its first collective agreement after only three years of operation.
At the same time, efforts are being made with the competent ministry to make additional payments for the difference in the benefit of seniority for some of the jobs for which the same was not paid in the past period due to the different names of the jobs.
