Companies to find way to pay annual leave allowance to workers

We are a Government for the workers and once again we appeal to every company that has opportunity, even those who show a loss, to pay the annual leave allowance, ie the so called K-15 because workers are essential part of the companies and the state, said today the Prime Minister, Zoran Zaev. Workers, he said, are the most important asset in both companies and the state, and he believes that higher wages for workers means increase of workers' purchasing power.

"The Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia together with the Organization of Employers, by signing the Agreement amending the GCA for the private sector in the field of economy in 2013 regulated the right to annual leave allowance for private sector employees. The recourse is a right established through a social dialogue between the representatives of the workers, in the specific case, the Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia and the representatives of the employers - ORM, and given that this is a right regulated by signing a collective agreement. In that regard it is expected  that "employers shall fully fulfill the obligation they voluntarily undertook," said the President of CCM, Darko Dimovski.

CCM welcomes the approach of the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia and the Prime Minister Zaev for the care of workers' labor rights.

Together, through the social dialogue that we have raised to a high level in the past, we can contribute to the promotion and protection of workers' rights, and thus provide greater social security in these complex period of health crisis caused by Covid-19.
