THE EMPLOYEES IN DRISLA WITH THE BLOCKADE, REMAINED WITHOUT JOB AND LIVELIHOOD

Employees of the Drisla landfill, which is managed by the City of Skopje, today spontaneously blocked the landfill as a sign of revolt and protest because they received information that there will be layoffs in the next period, as well as that their contracts will not be extended, as happened to their colleagues in JP Waterworks and Sewerage and Communal Hygiene who, due to the political revanchism of Mayor Arsovska, were left without a livelihood.

"Drisla" is blocked by the workers, they want to fire 30 workers, i.e. not to extend their contracts. I was just told that they blocked the gate of "Drisla" - the head of the Union of Trade Unions of Macedonia, Darko Dimovski, told "Sloboden Pechat".

This is another one of the series of dismissals in the enterprises under the jurisdiction of the City of Skopje and another one where protests of dissatisfied employees have been taking place in the last period.

It is about 30 general workers whose work contracts were not extended without any explanation, so in a sign of revolt they do not allow anyone to enter or leave the landfill, that is, the employees at the entrance gate are blocking the entrance.

The employees were accompanied by their trade union representatives from the SUTKOZ Trade Union at SSM, which is the only representative trade union for communal activities.

The struggle of the workers and trade unionists from SUTKOZ and SSM, after the unfortunate events in the public enterprises "Communal hygiene", where more than a hundred workers were not extended their work contracts, and in "Vodovod ", where the employees are about to strike, is transmitted in all Skopje public enterprises due to the fact that the workers are threatened by the bad management of the City of Skopje, so if this continues, a complete collapse is possible in the public enterprises managed by Mayor Arsovska.

Most of the waste in the capital is disposed of in the Drisla landfill, and the poor management puts the health of the citizens of Skopje in question.
