Caption 1. President Mitrevski on the ESAP Conference
On 29 June 2016 in Sarajevo a Kick-off conference for the EU funded Project "Employment and Social Affairs Platform", was organized by the Regional Cooperation Council and the International Labor Organization, with the support of DG Employment, Social Affairs and Social Inclusion of the European Commission.
The purpose of this conference was to discuss concerning issues that are priority of the employment related policies in the Western Balkans, encouraging youth employment - a major challenge and opportunity for the future of the Western Balkans, as well as better labor market governance.
The President of CCM, PhD Zhivko Mitrevski, the President of OEM, Angel Dimitrov, the Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Affairs, Ibrahim Ibrahimi participated in the panel discussions, where the President of CCM put a special emphasis on the organization of the effective social dialogue that successfully creates more rational policies in the labor market. In this context, the President Mitrevski mentioned the importance of the implementation of the decent work concept in the labor market policy and the progress made in terms of improving the involvement of the local self- government in the creation of the policies through the establishment of the local economic and social councils.
The Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Affairs, Ibrahim Ibrahimi presented the youth employment measures, while the specific activities and involvement of the Organization of Employers were presented by the President of OEM, Angel Dimitrov.
