On 12.03.2025 at the premises of SSM’s Workers' Home, the first day of the planned three-day activities was held as part of the training for trade union renewal of the Regional Trade Union Council RSS SOLIDARNOST with the support of the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC). The training was led by experts Florentin Iancu from Romania UNI South-East Europe Organizing Center (SEEOC) and Andraz Mali from Slovenia Center for Social Research (CEDRA), with the presence and additional expertise of the ETUC Senior Advisor - Committee for Collective Bargaining and Wage Coordination Giovanni Casale and ETUC Project Officer Elisabeth Terren, as well as with union representatives of several unions from the region in addition to the Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia (SSM), such as the Confederation of Independent Trade Unions of Bosnia and Herzegovina (SSSBiH), the Confederation of Trade Unions of Montenegro (CTUM), the Trade Union Confederation of Republika Srpska, the Union of Free Trade Unions of Montenegro (UFTUM) and the Confederation of Autonomous Trade Unions of Serbia (CATUS).



At today's training, the views of the representatives of the trade unions from the region were presented regarding topics related to trade union organizing, trade union membership and the benefits that each worker would receive as a future trade union member, all with the aim of ensuring an increase in union membership and bringing the trade unions closer to the citizens and workers’.
