At yesterday's session of the Economic and Social Council, the Union of Trade Unions of Macedonia was the only union that requested an increase in workers' wages.

259,653 workers receive a salary below 32,000 denars s, 186,753 workers receive a salary below 450 euros!

"We cannot stand to live with such miserable salaries given by employers in the private sector. They can say, make statements about whether salaries should be increased, or whether salaries should not be increased, but be careful the next time they say that there is no workforce in Macedonia. The biggest culprits for the emigration of qualified workers from Macedonia are precisely them, emphasizes Slobodan Trendafilov, President of SSM.
