FIREFIGHTERS' SALARIES TOPIC OF DISCUSSION AT THE MEETING OF THE SSM, NSPM AND THE MINISTER OF DEFENSE

On 02.11.2022, the management of NSPM accompanied by the President of SSM, Mr. Darko Dimovski, held a meeting with the Minister of Defense, Mrs. Slavjanka Petrovska, where they discussed the Amendments to Article 13 of the Law on Firefighting and the new methodology for salary calculation and salary allowances in accordance with the amendments to the Firefighting Law.

After the presentation by the president of the working group, we requested that the opinion of NSPM be taken into account in these changes, where we as NSPM were not informed and familiar with the preparation of the same. On behalf of the Minister of Defense, Ms. Slavjanka Petrovska showed understanding of our requests and she instructed the chairman of the working group to hold meetings with the NSPM until the positions of both sides regarding the changes are reconciled.
