The International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC) in this year's Global Rights Index Report "The World's Worst Countries for Workers" ranked Macedonia 4th in the ranking of countries with systematic violations of workers' rights, or in the penultimate place.
The Report emphasizes that the worst conditions since the beginning of the Global Rights Index include the formation of yellow unions by employers, and Macedonia is listed as one of the negative examples.

The Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia continuously warns that the formation of a yellow union by political order, forcing workers to join such a yellow union or quasi-union is not in the interest of anyone other than the implementation of the policy of not increasing workers' salaries, the danger of abolishing collective agreements and drastically reducing workers' rights, because such a yellow union will not work in the interests of the workers but will work in the interests of its boss!
The latest such example of aiding and abetting the creation of a quasi-yellow union is the artificial reduction of the threshold for determining representativeness from 10 to 5% in order to forcefully make a yellow union representative.
The Confederation of Trade Unions of Macedonia (CSM) as a full member of the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC) continues to fight for the protection and advancement of workers' rights in Macedonia!
