THE GENERAL SECRETARY OF ITUC, LUKA VISINTINI IS FAMILIAR WITH THE SITUATION IN MACEDONIA

The President of SSM, Darko Dimovski, and the President of the Union of UPOZ, Trpe Deanoski met with the General Secretary of the International Confederation of Trade Unions - ITUC, Luka Visentini.

At this meeting, the representatives of SSM informed the General Secretary of ITUC in detail about the current state of Collective Bargaining and social dialogue in Macedonia and the attacks that the Government is making on collective bargaining, the cancellation of collective agreements, the general strike in the public sector and about the unconstitutional rules. which was adopted by the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy contrary to the Constitution, Laws, and International Labor Conventions and which prevents any future signing of new collective agreements.

The General Secretary of the ITUC, Luca Visentini, expressed his concern about the intrusion into collective bargaining and the suspension of social dialogue, and in particular, he emphasized that it is inadmissible to cancel Collective Agreements as was the case in the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management.

On his part, it was emphasized that the ITUC will send a letter of protest to the Government of Macedonia and will ask to stop the attacks on the Trade Unions united in the SSM, and otherwise it will inform the Council of Europe and the European Parliament about the same.

The president of SSM, Dimovski, and the president of UPOZ, Deanoski, on the 7th of this month, at the invitation of the General Secretary, Visentini, will attend a session of the Executive Committee of ETUC and ITUC in Brussels, where the problem will be presented at the highest level, for SSM to receive the necessary support of the entire international trade union family.
