The Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia in August 2021 submitted a draft text of the General Collective Agreement for the public sector in which, among other things, the main request is the right to annual leave (K-15) to be enjoyed by all employees in the public sector, including employees in healthcare, the army, the police and in other activities from the public sector, that is, the entire public sector without exception, for whom this right is not regulated and arranged in a branch and collective agreement at the employer level.
The workers protested for this labor right and for signing the General Collective Agreement for the public sector.
The government discriminates against its employees, but what are the ministers of these ministries doing to advance the rights of their employees and enable the workers' right to annual leave recourse through branch and collective agreements at the employer level, and for what reasons do they not accept the request of the trade unions.
