HOW MUCH OF THE GOVERNMENT'S PROMISES TO THE SSM HAS BEEN FULFILLED?

"The government is working against the interests of workers, and the course it is following is not in the direction of protecting and promoting workers' rights"

"The abolition of collective agreements, and they promised that the conventions of international organizations will be respected in the area of collective bargaining, their promise that the new collective agreement for the public sector will be signed by 31.12, and thus positive discrimination in the area of compensation will be eliminated, that a methodology for the payment of salaries will be established, this did not happen and it turned out to be a big lie", said Slobodan Trendafilov, SSM.

From what has been achieved, however, the unions say that it was obtained with a lot of effort and protests.

The SSM also opposes the new law on the salary system, according to which workers in the same position will receive equal pay. They are determined that 140,000 public servants will be penalized if they go on vacation or training by taking only the basic salary amount. Besides, the employees will only take allowances if the institution has money, and the increase will be very difficult and slow, according to Trendafilov.

"Collective agreements will no longer exist. There will be no provisions for determining wages. And the main point that is important for us as trade unions is that again the value of the point or the coefficient of complexity will be determined by the proposal of the Ministry of Finance. The government will propose it to the Parliament, and the Parliament will vote on it without any social dialogue. Social dialogue is being eliminated, and the role of the economic-social council as an advisory body of the government is being eliminated," said Trendafilov.
