DEAR BROTHERS AND SISTERS, LET'S ALL PROTEST TOGETHER ON MAY 1!
The SSM has been leading the fight for labor rights for the past 5 years, and every year on May 1, a growing number of workers, trade unionists, pensioners, and citizens take to the streets to protest and express their dissatisfaction.
This year on May 1, workers and trade unions in Macedonia, unfortunately, are fighting for the preservation of the civilizational benefit of the 8-hour working day, which the Government wants to abolish and introduce a 12-hour working day or a 60-hour working week that should unite them the workers in protest, because this intention of the Government returns Macedonia 137 years in the past.
The increase in officials' salaries by 78% or 2,000 denars per day, the introduction of a 12-hour working day for a large number of workers, the fact that they lied to the health workers and did not increase their salaries, the fact that they did not conclude the General Collective Agreement for the public sector with which every employee will have the right to K-15, is enough motive and more than a reason to go to the street to protest and express dissatisfaction!
We trade unionists from SSM, at 12 o'clock on May 1st, we will start the labor protest, and I am addressing our fraternal unions, to all workers and citizens (pensioners, bankrupt workers, unemployed, students) of this country, it is high time that we join us to express our dissatisfaction together.
International Labor Day — an international holiday that is celebrated on May 1 and is dedicated to the struggle for the preservation and advancement of workers' rights and is celebrated on May 1 as a sign of respect for the victims of the strike that took place from May 1 to 4, 1886. in Chicago, this strike, was organized with the aim of introducing an eight-hour working day, and the Macedonian worker is faced with the same struggle today!
LONG LIVE THE FIRST OF MAY!
Darko Dimovski
President of SSM
