The trade union of the Macedonian Post Office demands that the general director reconsider and stop the decision to issue a public notice for the employment of 31 administrative workers due to, taking into account, as they say, "the poor financial situation that puts us at risk of ensuring regular wages for the existing workers ".
- In these moments of a serious financial crisis of the company, when the employees of the Post Office fear for the preservation of their jobs and the existence of their families, caused by the poor financial situation of the Company as a result of the reduced income and the problems we face in the organization of operations, the general director of the RSM Post is announcing a public announcement for new employment in the administration published in the daily newspapers "Sloboden Pechat" and "Koha" in the editions of 02/16/2023, the Macedonian Post Union said in a statement.
From there, they emphasize that day by day the concern and uncertainty among employees is increasing, especially, as they emphasize, the uncertainty about the regular payment of salary within the legal term in the next period - months and the fact that the payment of the salary for January 2023 is also late is also worrying. year within the stipulated legal deadline until the 15th of the month. - In spite of that, an announcement is made for new employment in administration where it is over employment and those jobs can be filled by internal redeployment. All this is extremely frivolous and further threatens the future and livelihood of over 2000 employees, the Union points out.
And in this state of crisis and uncertainty of the Company, they add, they would not be against new employment if they are in accordance with the real needs of the Company, and refer to filling vacant jobs from the technological process that will contribute to greater efficiency and productivity in the direction of stabilization and increase of the income of the company and thus improvement of the service to the citizens.
-Namely, the indicated vacancies for which a public announcement has been announced can be filled by internal redeployment of the existing staff, taking into account the fact that it is over employment in the Company's administration and this is a good opportunity to make an internal redeployment according to their seniority, education, experience, and qualifications, are aimed at greater productivity and efficiency in the work, the Union states and responds that the management did not carry out a procedure for informing and consulting with the unions on this issue and that the procedure was carried out contrary to the Law on Labor Relations, the conventions of the ILO and EU directives on information and consultation.
- From the above arguments, the Union of Macedonian Post and the employees, with this announcement, call on the General Director to reconsider the decision to publish a public announcement for the employment of thirty-one new administrative workers, and to stop it, taking into account the poor financial situation with which puts us at risk of ensuring a regular salary for existing workers, as well as the possibility of filling vacant positions by internal redeployments, the statement said.
