MANU STRIKERS ARE FIGHTING FOR THEIR SALARIES

The trade union organization of MANU informs that the strike of the employees in the Secretariat and in the professional units of MANU is still going on and will occasionally strike in front of the MANU building.

The management of MANU has not taken concrete steps so far and continued with its ignorant attitude toward solving the problem of offensively low salaries despite the promise to hold an extraordinary session of the Presidency of MANU regarding this issue.

We emphasize once again that the problem with the unworthy low salaries of these employees cannot be solved without changes in the Law on MANU in the salary section.

If this problem continues to be ignored and the management of MANU does not urgently take appropriate steps, the Trade Union Organization of MANU announces that it will hold a press conference at which it will inform the public in more detail about the reasons for the strike and about the many years of dissatisfaction among these employees and that the members of MANU are familiar with both orally and in writing.
