May 1, International Labor Day, is dedicated to the fight to preserve and advance workers' rights.

May 1 is celebrated as a sign of respect for the victims of the strike that took place from May 1 to 4, 1886, in Chicago. During this strike, organised to introduce an eight-hour workday, force was used by the police, and there were victims.

Therefore, it is not a time for beer and barbecue, it is a time to fight for workers' rights.
