The meeting with the Minister of Labor and Social Policy, Jagoda Shahpaska, was attended by the Vice President of the Council of SSM for the Public Sector, Marjan Kicev and Katerina Popovska, Advisor for organization, development and trade union education. On the meeting the draft text of the Labor Law was discussed.
The Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia is the only social partner that on behalf of the workers prepared and submitted its own draft text of the Labor Law.
The representatives of CCM once again pointed out that the new Labor Law should contain the European labor tendencies.

• Saturday and Sunday to be days of weekly rest
• improving healthy and safe working conditions in companies.
• Respecting the conventions on freedom of trade union organizing and functioning
• The employer should be obliged to start negotiations within 30 days from the submitted draft proposal of the Collective Agreement at the level of the employer by the trade union.
