The workers received an increased basic salary at the beginning of the year, and the social dialogue conducted by SIER with the mine's management team ensured the signing of a Collective Agreement after many years, which made significant progress in mutual respect as social partners, as well as in regulating workers' rights.
The Trade Union of Industry, Energy and Mining of Macedonia (SIER) at the SSM with the Borov Dol mine, which started operating in 2021, managed to sign its first collective agreement only three years after the company started operating.
At the same time, the workers requested that efforts be made with the competent ministry to make additional payments for the difference in beneficial seniority for some of the jobs for which the same had not been paid in the past period due to the different names of the jobs.
