Caption 1. Undeclared work
CCM within the framework of its Program for the realization and implementation of workers' rights and labor legislation in the past period has undertaken series of activities.
Such activities are being implemented both by the unions affiliated in CCM and by the regional trade union subsidiaries and offices in cooperation with the legal representatives of CCM.
In order to improve the cooperation between the social partners in R. Macedonia and the State Labor Inspectorate, as a sign of achieving the abovementioned objective, CCM together with the social partners on 24.2.2016 signed a Multilateral Agreement with the State Labor Inspectorate.
The agreement is intended to promote the cooperation with the State Labor Inspectorate in terms of analysis, design, creation, implementation and monitoring of policies to prevent undeclared work. The aim is to unite and coordinate efforts in improving the functioning and operation regarding the undeclared work through the exchange of information and ideas to tackle undeclared work. According to the memorandum, the fight against the gray economy includes proposing measures for its reduction, cooperation, exchange of information and raising awareness of the benefits brought by the reported work of its members and the general public, as well as negotiating the intervention on different levels and sectors at national and local level in combating undeclared work.
According to President of the Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia, PhD Zhivko Mitrevski, this Memorandum of cooperation with the State Labor Inspectorate represents an opportunity but also a new tool to tackle the undeclared work and the grey economy.
CCM encourages its members, workers and citizens to actively engage in the fight against the illegal work or undeclared work and to contribute towards using the opportunities provided by this memorandum.
The Memorandum allows cooperation with the State Labor Inspectorate for other relevant issues when it comes to violation of workers' rights and the need to be used in order all irregularities to be reported to the State labor Inspectorate.
