An online plenary session of the Regional Trade Union Council Solidarnost was held today, chaired by the Union of Free Trade Unions of Montenegro, and attended by the trade union leaders of the RSS Solidarnost member states from the former Yugoslavia.
On behalf of CCM, the Plenary Session was attended by the Secretary of the Council of CCM, Zlatko Cvetkovski, who presented the overall situation with the COVID19 pandemic in our country, with special emphasis on CCM's activities in the creation of the anti-crisis measures to mitigate the economic consequences of the crisis, through the participation of CCM in the Economic and Social Council.
What was concluded at the session, in addition to the exchange of information and good practices from the participating countries, was the emphasis on the important role of trade unions as relevant social partners in preserving jobs, protecting and promoting workers' rights.
The conclusions of this plenary session, in the form of a Declaration from the participating countries will be submitted to the relevant European social partners, and will be presented at the Social Summit scheduled for May this year in Porto.
