In the period from 14 to 17 October 2016, in Becici, Montenegro a regular plenary session of the Regional Trade Union Council, RSS "Solidarnost" and of the Youth Section was held.
This meeting was attended by the representatives of the Member States of RSS Solidarnost.
Within the national report, the President of CCM, PhD Zhivko Mitrevski, indicating the current situation, highlighted the importance of the social dialogue and its functioning in the Republic Macedonia and as a good practice he cited the amendment to the General Collective Agreement for the private sector in the area of the economy, in which the number of days for the affected workers from elementary disaster has been increased from 3 to 7 days, and the employer in such areas where a state of emergency has been declared can further increase the number of free days.
Also, the President of CCM mentioned the best practice for reaching a conclusion on the level of the Economic and Social Council (ESC) in times of crisis (economic, political), the labor legislation not to be changed, by so protecting workers’ rights.

This practice in the Republic Macedonia has given results and the importance of the amendments to the OHS Law which increases the position, role and control of the union president were also emphasized.
As future tasks together with the Confederation of Free Trade Unions of Macedonia (KSS) are the activities related to the opening of the talks regarding the signing of the GCA for the public sector upon the establishment of the new government, emphasized the President of CCM.

On this meeting the proposal for collaboration between RSS Solidarnost and the Confederation of Democratic Trade Unions of France (CFDT) was also discussed and adopted.
