POST OFFICE STRIKE

The Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia provided full support to the Trade Unions of  JSC "Post of North Macedonia" to start a general strike in JSC Post.
 

Due to the unsuccessful tripartite dialogue between the Management Board of the Post Office of the Republic of North Macedonia, the Government of RNM  and the Trade Unions of the Post Office of the Republic of North  Macedonia, and the non-realization of the requirements of the employees and the Trade Unions of JSC Post Office of North Macedonia, We would like to inform you that the Central Board of the Trade Union of Macedonian Post and the Executive Board of the Trade Union Organization of JSC The Post of North Macedonia on 31.03.2022 made a decision to start a general strike.

The reasons to start a general strike are related to concerns of over the 2200 employees about the future of the company and the suspense of preserving their jobs, the dissatisfaction of unreleased requests for a linear net wage increase of the employees in the amount of 3.000MKD, which haven’t been raised for about 30 years, working in substandard conditions, the dissatisfaction with the current systematization and non-realization of some of the requests of the employees and the Trade Unions listed in the Conclusions of 15.10.2021 year.

The demands of the Trade Unions whose members organized the strike are next:

- immediate and non-delayed net wage linear increase for the employees in the amount of 3.000MKD in accordance with the submitted request of 08.02.2022 year by the Management Board;

- job preservation;

-preserving the future of our company;

-providing funds for regular salary payments;

-urgent rehabilitation of facilities, providing standard working conditions, and providing the necessary resources  and оperating equipment ;

-immediate initiation of a procedure for new systematization with the participation of the trade unions in its preparation;

-realization of all conclusions adopted on October 15, 2021;

If we don't solve our problems through dialog, The Trade Union of the Macedonian Post and the Trade Union of JSC Post Office of Northern Macedonia a general strike will begin on 14.04.2022 year in 08.00 a.m, at the employer's workplaces and premises.

The strike will last until the demands of the strikers are fulfilled, ie until an agreement is reached.

The work of  The Post Office of Northern Macedonia will be completely interrupted, except for the essential activities which postal service providers must provide uninterruptedly, in accordance with the Law on Postal Services Article 49 and the Collective Agreement at the level of the employer, until the requests are accepted by JSC Post of Northern Macedonia.
