Free legal protection provided by CCM during 2018
The basic statutory and program determination of CCM is the realization, promotion and protection of workers' rights.
CCM exercises the most direct protection of the workers' rights through the free legal protection that provides for its membership.
The free legal protection is organized at the headquarters of CCM in Skopje and in the regional trade union offices on the entire territory of the state.
The lawyers of CCM provide legal advice, requests, complaints, appeals, etc. i.e. they represent our members in front of the bodies within the employer, courts and other state bodies whenever it is necessary for protection and realization of their labor rights.
The Council of CCM, at its session held on February 28th, adopted the Information on the given legal protection of CCM for 2018. In accordance with the Rules of Procedures, the Presidency and the Council discuss the information on the legal protection twice a year.
During 2018, the Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia registered 1637 addresses on various grounds for protection of labor rights.
Most of the addresses are coming from the following Trade Unions:
- Trade Union of Industry, Energy and Mining of the Republic of Macedonia (SIER) - 800
- Trade Union of the Agro Industrial Complex of the Republic of Macedonia (AGRO) - 212
- Trade Union of the workers in Catering, Tourism, Communal Economy, Crafts and Protective Companies of the Republic of Macedonia (SUTKOZ) 135
- Trade Union of the workers in the Textile, Leather and Shoe making industry of the Republic of Macedonia - (STKC) -129
As every year, the most numerous of the addresses refer to unpaid salaries, allowances and unpaid contributions from salary - 840 addresses.
Then, there are complaints on the basis of rights in bankruptcy proceedings - 343, trade union rights - 221, overtime work- 76, annual leave -72, recourse for annual leave - 50 addresses.
