PROTEST IN THE POST OFFICE AGAINST POLITICAL PRESSURES AND UNCERTAINTY ABOUT SALARY

The employees of Posta 2 Skopje are faced with enormous political pressure, threats and blackmail by managers in some of the branches to transfer them to another union at all costs, which will remain silent because they do not even know when their salaries will be paid because party figures are being rewarded in bosses and marginal positions in administration to the detriment of 1,200 workers in the process. After all, the workers do not have basic conditions and means of work... bicycles... mopeds, bags for carrying mail, or other basic means, while day after day private post offices are conquering the postal market to the detriment of Macedonian Post.

The President of the SSM Slobodan Trendafilov, together with the Presidents of the Trade Unions in the Macedonian Post, part of the SSM, Boro Veligdenov and Sashe Dimitrijevski, today had a meeting with more than 150 post office employees who, as a sign of revolt, held a peaceful protest in front of the gate, demanding that the Directors come and explain to all of them the current situation, the pressures being exerted, when there will be a salary when personal protective equipment and work equipment will be purchased, when the promotion of party followers to controllers will stop, and when the political persecution with pressures to join a party union will stop.
