The Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia as the only representative trade union and current social partner in this very complex situation in the country due to the corona virus has shown mobility and readiness for solidarity of all in order quickly to overcome the crisis and return to normal life.
With the enactment of the Decree on Restrictions on the payment of compensations and salary allowances for Public Sector Employees during the State of Emergency adopted at the 37th session of the Government, we are concerned about the suspension of part of the provisions of the laws and collective agreements in the field of public sector.
We ask the exception to be reconsidered whether the validity of the decree covers all activities and sectors that in these complex times are on the frontlines and have increased engagements.
For all other employees in the public sector, we propose with the Decree to be provided payment of funds for the actually realized compensations and salary allowances for the workers in the public sector after the end of the state of emergency.
