SGIP continues to take care for its members through implementation of OHS trainings aimed at raising the awareness of the employees. Its activities are related to the OHS campaign under the motto: Life and health in the first place, take care for them while working. For that purpose from 25-27.11.2016 in Ohrid an OHS training was held organized by the Union of SGIP. The training was attended by 46 representatives of the construction companies where SGIP has members. The training covered several topics: Communication skills, role of OHS representatives, current problems in the field of OHS in construction and building industry, professional risks in construction and building industry, professional risk of exposure of asbestos at work, muskoloskeletal disorders, psychosocial factors at work, work related stress etc.
Special emphasis was placed on the raising of the awareness of the employees for the care of their health, safe working environment etc. Lecturers were representatives of SGIP and PhD Jovanka Karadzinska Bislimovska - President of the National Council for Safety and Health at Work, PhD Sasho Stoleski and PhD Dragan Mijakoski from the Institute of Occupational Medicine. The training was implemented by the Union of SGIP according to the plan and program of SGIP and BWI. The training was conducted under the OHS Law and the Regulations for the implementation of OHS activities of SGIP. The group was actively involved in the overall training and has shown great interest.
