Signed new Collective Agreement of the Ministry of Interior

Dear employees of the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of North Macedonia, we would like to inform you that today, 24.06.2021 in Skopje, the President of the MPS, Dr. Marjan Kicev and the Minister of Interior, Oliver Spasovski signed the new Collective Agreement of the Ministry of Interior.

The new Collective Agreement is a product of several months of hard work of the working group in which the representatives of the MPS have presented the proposals of the membership, in order to improve all social and professional, normative and other standards necessary to improve the working conditions of all employees in the Ministry of Interior in the new Collective Agreement.

"As President of the Macedonian Police Union, the only representative union within the Ministry of Interior, I am proud that we have participated in the preparation of the new collective agreement of the Ministry of Interior. I have been personally participating in the working group and would like to inform you that during the period of several months hard work we have had both good and bad moments, under the coordination of the State Secretary Nestorovska, to whom I would like to express my special gratitude, and we have managed to make a new CA of the Ministry of Interior. We have confirmed a number of new labour rights with which we can freely say that we have written a history of trade unionism in the Republic of North Macedonia. Our employees in this modern time exercise their rights only through cooperation and dialogue between the employer and the representatives of the workers, in this case of the Ministry of Interior and MPS. Today we do not stop here, but on the contrary, we will continue together in the institutional struggle for better labor rights for the employees in the Ministry of Interior" said the President of the MPS, Dr. Marjan Kicev at the signing the CA.

"The signing of the new Collective Agreement, we sincerely believe that it will largely have a positive reflection on the social and professional rights of all employees in the institution, and I would like to emphasize that once again, the efforts and priorities of the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia and the current leadership are directed only at improvement of the labour standards and working conditions of all members of the Macedonian police" said the Minister of Interior, Oliver Spasovski.

Sincerely yours,

Macedonian Police Union

President

Dr. Marjan Kicev
