What we can say with certainty is actually a finding from the previous period when a large percentage of the able-bodied population left the country and got a job in the highly developed Western European countries, as well as further afield.
The figures from the statistics are surprising, how many young people, but in general and qualified personnel, have left the Republic of Macedonia forever. With the Open Balkans, we will see that even more due to the liberalization of the market, workers will leave Macedonia for the simple reason that other countries have a higher standard due to the higher personal income of their employees. So all those who cannot go further will surely look for their work in these two countries, R. Albania and R. Serbia", says Ivan Peshevski, vice president for the private sector in the Union of Trade Unions of Macedonia.
According to him, the Government entered the project without doing a comparative analysis, but therefore, now, you should quickly approach the determination of a common price and working hours.
"This will cause tectonic disturbances in our labor market because on the other side we do not see that we offer better legal solutions or higher salaries for colleagues from other countries who see a better perspective here. Care must also be taken not to reduce the price of labor by importing workers, so as not to further cause our workers to leave. Therefore, we inevitably need to have a labor price mechanism/regulator, or instead of a salary, a common price per working hour," he says.
