The SSM was included in the consultations held by the Ministry of Economy and Labor in the past days for the creation of the new measure, and as a union that calculates the Union minimum basket, we pointed out what needs to be taken care of and that the minimum union basket produced by the SSM will be the main control mechanism on whether prices will actually be reduced by traders or if there will be abuses again.
This is because the new union minimum basket will be calculated on December 20, and the measure or the action came into force on December 15, so we will know what has actually been reduced from the basic products in the food and beverage section, and on January 20 we will know whether after the end of the measure on January 15, traders made an increase in prices, which would lose the effect of the same.
As a reminder, before the entry into force of the previous measures, merchants reduced the salaries of employees in the trade by 5%, according to which the average salary also decreased, and due to the unjustified increase in prices, the value of SMK in the food and beverage section increased before the entry into force of strength of the measure and after its completion there was an increase again.
Businessmen should show social responsibility, otherwise, if they try to cheat the system again, rigorous penalties will have to be introduced for those who do not comply.
We consider all measures that are taken in the interest of workers and citizens, especially in the interest of those with the lowest incomes to be welcomed.
For the New Year's Basket, citizens will be able to familiarize themselves with the products offered in the List by manufacturers and distributors through a special website "mojakosnica.mk". The product groups are sublimated into a List of food products covering over 675 products, offered by a total of 60 companies and manufacturers and distributors.
