Dear fellow citizens,
In such dramatic moments when the fires are all over the country, and some citizens have suffered serious material damage to their homes and other property, it is difficult to choose words that will ease the pain of those who suffer, but on the other hand will affect those who are in a decisive position that it is necessary to take preventive measures to prevent such tragedies.
As an Independent Trade Union of the Firefighters of Macedonia of CCM, it is logical and completely correct that we are particularly concerned about the position of our colleagues across the country. It is really unfair in these moments when the issues of responsibility of the state bodies are being raised, not to raise the issue of the status of the professional firefighters and the firefighting profession as a whole. Those who struggle with the fires on a daily basis as part of their professional duty seem to be forgotten by those who protect them. In these moments it is expected form our fellow professional firefighters to get maximum commitment in extinguishing the fires and to deal with this difficult situation and we expect from the country to take care of the welfare of each firefighter, to take care of our working conditions, as well to receive adequate payment entitled by law...
... For these reasons, we emphasise to our members that the Independent Trade Union of the Firefighters of Macedonia has stood and will stand to protect their rights, and we remind those who violate our rights that they also endanger the pillars of the security and humanity.
