The Trade Union of Workers in the Catering, Tourism, Municipal and Housing Sectors, Crafts and Protective Societies of Macedonia - SUTKOZ, which is the only representative trade union of the Sector - Water Supply, Wastewater Disposal, Waste Management and Environmental Remediation Activities, proudly presents its new publication — “Promoting Social Dialogue on an Objective Basis”, developed within the framework of the European project ProSDinWater – Promoting and Strengthening Social Dialogue in the Water Sector through Innovative Approaches (Project No. 101102352).
This publication is the result of two years of collaboration between experts, trade union representatives, employers, and academics from Bulgaria, Italy, Malta, and North Macedonia. It offers analyses, research findings and practical recommendations for improving and modernising social dialogue in the water supply and sanitation sector.
The publication highlights:
National and comparative reports on the state of social dialogue in the water sector;
Analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of social partnership;
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for assessing the effectiveness of social dialogue;
Social Partnership Memorandum – a tool designed to support future negotiations and cooperation between social partners;
Concrete recommendations and quality standards for effective dialogue and sectoral governance.
The guide highlights the strategic importance of the water sector for sustainable development and social stability, while also emphasising the need for objective and measurable indicators in decision-making on labour and social policy.
ProSDinWater is the first EU-funded project dedicated exclusively to social dialogue in the water sector, implemented with the support of the European Commission. The Trade Union of Workers in the Catering, Tourism, Municipal and Housing Sectors, Crafts and Protective Societies of Macedonia - SUTKOZ, expresses its sincere gratitude to all partners, experts and organisations involved in the preparation of this publication. This publication is intended as a practical tool for trade unions, employers, public authorities and the professional academic community, who strive for a stronger and more sustainable social dialogue.
