THE THREATS OF THE DEPUTIES FROM THE AUTHORITY CAME TRUE, THEY CANCELED THE 15% INCREASE OF PUBLIC SECTOR SALARIES

The Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia has submitted to all MPs a draft request with a proposal to increase the salaries of all employees in the public sector by at least 15%.

The amendment proposed by the SSM and submitted by the MP group of VMRO-DPMNE and the Coalition for the Reconstruction of Macedonia passed the initial filter of the Committee on Financing and Budget last week, but even then the MPs of the majority threatened to demand its annulment because part of them, instead of sitting on the Commission and voting in the interests of the workers, they had more important work and did not participate in the work of the Commission, although they were paid for it from the contributions from the workers' salaries.

Yesterday, at the Legislative and Legal Commission, SDSM and DUI MPs, Snezhana Kaleska, Muhamed Kadriov, Fanica Nikolovska, Daniela Nikolova, Marija Kochovska, Kole Charakchiev, and Bedri Fazli canceled the amendment to increase salaries by 15% for employees in the administration.

Deputies from the Government paid from the people's money and the money of the workers, obviously participate in the work of the Commissions only when they have to take and cut from the worker, and not give to him.

We regret that despite our constant lobbying and pointing out the necessity of this proposal, MPs from SDSM and DUI did not listen to the voice of the workers, so it is very likely that the workers will remind them in the next period when the voice of the workers will be needed.

As before, the SSM continues to lead the fight at all levels and expresses its gratitude to all the MPs who support and propose the amendments in the interests of the workers.
