The employees of JP Vodovod and Sewerage Skopje have been facing torture by the new management of the public enterprise since 07:00 this morning.
More than 1/3 of the total number of employees in the company are affected by losing their jobs and being illegally assigned to other jobs with duties without the right to object and without the right to appeal, which is against both the Law and the collective agreement and the Constitution of the state.
The new Director, who comes from the ranks of the company's employees, as soon sat down in the director's chair, immediately began to torture, revenge, and pressure his colleagues for reasons known only to him.
This kind of revanchism and torture against employees is the grossest violation of workers' rights in the Skopje waterworks, in contrast to when in the past, directors from SDSM, Dushko Veskovski from 2017 to 2021, and from VMRO - DPMNE, Zlatko Perinski from 2021 to 2022, where the collective agreement was respected, all allowances and allowances were paid, the salary of the employees was increased, etc.
For SUTKOZ at SSM, there are only workers who regularly go to work and perform work tasks in accordance with Employment Agreements, ZRO, and Collective Agreements, and not, as someone likes to say, workers hired by this or that director.
This attitude of the new Acting Director can lead to the collapse of the water supply and sewage system in Skopje, due to the fact that qualified workers are sent to perform other work tasks, and some of them lose their jobs.
The SUTKOZ union has already reported these actions and arbitrariness to the State Labor Inspectorate and is considering the possibility of a strike in accordance with the Law and the Collective Agreement with one goal, saving jobs and stopping the arbitrariness of the new Acting Director.
