TRADE UNIONISTS, WORKERS, WOMEN, MOTHERS, SISTERS, HAPPY MARCH 8TH

The Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia points to the significance of International Women's Day - March 8, which aims to raise awareness of the need to create a society of gender equality and equal opportunities for men and women as a basic prerequisite for active, creative and productive participation of all citizens in building and advancing the state following the example of European standards and practices.

On International Women's Day, March 8, the Federatiom of Trade Unions of Macedonia, on behalf of all women, calls for greater institutional support for gender equality and the elimination of all forms of gender-based violence and discrimination as the basis for all democratic processes in the country.

Women, members of the Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia, demand sustainable jobs, higher and more dignified salaries, healthy and safe working conditions, social security and the exercise of workers' rights.
